The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has just presented the "Nogalte Cultural 2018" program, in which numerous groups and associations of the town participate.
It is a varied agenda of activities designed to be enjoyed during the summer season in the town by locals of all ages as well as tourists and visitors.
One of the most particular tourist enclaves of the town, the Cave Houses and the Nogalte Castle, you can visit the activities in Medina Nogalte on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in July and August with free admission from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
More specifically, the dramatized visits will take place on Thursday, July 19, and on Thursday, August 9, with prior reservation.
The guided tours to know the historical and patrimonial wealth of Puerto Lumbreras through Medina Nogalte will be on Saturdays and Sundays in July and August at 8.30 pm with departure at Casa Taller del Artesano.
Both visits will be priced at 3 euros, and will be free for children under 10 years.
The natural place Cabezo de la Jara will also have activities to visit and enjoy it from a different point of view.
Therefore, the astronomical observations will take place every Tuesday and Saturday from June 15 to September 15 guided by members of the Astronomical Association of the Region of Murcia with a price of 2.5 euros, free for children under 10 years.
There will also be guided tours to the Nature Interpretation Center and Astronomical Trail on June 23 and 30 at 11.00 am with a price of 4 euros, except children under 10 years old.
'Martes Joven' is an initiative in the summer swimming pools where, during the month of July starting at 8:00 pm, and with free admission, these facilities will be enlivened with different activities such as synchronized swimming exhibition, batucada, freestyle battle, Magic night with Pedro Lucas or DJ Local Session.
The program also includes Summer Cinema in August in the courtyard of the Cultural Center with the projections of 'Gru: My favorite villain 3' and 'Coco';
on the esplanade of the Sports Pavilion of La Estación-El Esparragal, 'Ferdinando' and 'Petter Rabbit'.
This last title will also be screened at the Auto Cine on Tuesday, August 28 at the Esplanade Sports Pavilion.
The neighborhoods will hold their own parties, such as San Juan, which from June 22 to 24 will perform different activities and concerts such as 'Los Hippytanos', 'Duet Talisman' and 'El Último Eco'.
For its part, the Fiestas del Barrio de Los Limoneros will have Floral Offering, Holy Mass and Pilgrimage in honor of the Virgen del Carmen on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 July.
Also in his honor will be celebrated the parties of the parish of Góñar that will begin on July 21 and end on August 15.
Other concerts that will take place, with special attention to local artists, will be 'Essencial Rock Band' on Friday July 6, 'NN Band and Black Night' on Sunday July 15, night of copla with 'María José Lorente' on Friday 27 July, 'Amarela' with the acoustic concert 'Instinto' on Friday, July 20 at Casa de los Duendes, 'Eliana Poveda' and 'María Andreo' on Friday, August 17 at Casa del Cura.
There will also be a pop-rock concert with versions from the 80s and 90s on August 3 at Casa del Cura.
Another initiative to liven up the summer is the night of humor and monologues with Maxi Rangel and Acho on July 21 at Casa del Cura.
Different festivals will be held during the month of June and July.
They will start with the V Dance Festival 'Beauty and the Beast' of the academy of Maria Teresa Lazareno on Saturday June 23, followed by the XIX Ria-Pitá Flamenco Festival 'In strange land: La Vendimia' on Friday June 29 and the III International Festival of Folklore of Choirs and Dances Virgen del Rosario on Saturday, June 30, this year in homage to the recently deceased Angel Rosique, one of its members.
For the youngest, children's musical 'The wonderful story of the Sleeping Beauty' on Sunday, July 8.
Meanwhile, the premiere of the Musical 'Mamma Mia' by the students of IES Rambla de Nogalte will take place on Thursday, June 28.
Different institutional acts have also been contemplated within this Nogalte Cultural program.
On Saturday, July 7, Puerto Lumbreras will celebrate its Independence Day in an institutional ceremony in which honorary distinctions awarded by the City Council will be presented in 2018. On July 12, the Queen's Election and Coronation will take place. Infantil 2018, and Aseplu will present its Business Awards on July 13.
Traditional root music will have its place at the Trovos Meeting on Saturday, August 25 with the participation of the troopers Cardoso I, Antonio 'El Andaluz', Cardoso II, Salvador 'El Marina' and Antonio Micol on guitar.
In the sporting part, the activities begin with the XXXIV Futsal Tournament 2018 Copa Alevín-Benjamín Federation on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June.
On Saturday, June 30, the municipality will host the II Women's Local Tennis Tournament.
On July 1 the Murcia Region Cycling Schools Trophy will be held at 10.30.
On Saturday July 7, 3x3 basketball at Jardín de Paco Rabal, and on Saturday the 14th the traditional Night Crossing Orientation organized by Silybum.
On Saturday, August 11 will be the 12 Hours of Futsal Fiestas de Góñar, and on Friday, August 31, the 7th stage of the Tour of Spain will depart from Puerto Lumbreras.
It should be noted that the program also includes two popular hiking routes, one organized by Club Andaya on July 26, and another organized by Silybum on August 4.
