This Saturday, August 4, the district of Góñar has celebrated its festivities with the traditional Pilgrimage of the Virgen del Carmen.
An appointment that has been attended by neighbors and devotees of this image that has visited some of the houses of its residents.
This celebration began on Saturday July 21 with the feast of the Virgen del Carmen in which the neighbors performed the Procession accompanied by the Municipal Band of Music, Floral Offering and Mass in a church that has just been restored thanks to the great involvement and donations from its inhabitants, with the help and collaboration of the City Councils of Puerto Lumbreras and Huércal-Overa.
The party will continue next weekend with giant paella on Sunday, August 11, children's games and rociera party with flamenco group 'Arachi' at the Polideportivo de Góñar from 12.00.
Tuesday August 14 will be the big day with musical performance of the orchestra 'Gala', Election and Coronation of Queen 2018, Fireworks and Migas in the morning.
On Wednesday, August 15, there will be a celebration of the Holy Mass and Procession in Honor of Our Lady of Carmen at 6:00 p.m., games and children's entertainment, raffle and a weekend party organized by the Festival Commission of Góñar and the collaboration of City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
