The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanías, has organized a new edition of the Fair of Equine Cattle that has been held throughout this weekend in the Local Market of Lumbrerense municipality.
This appointment began at the beginning of the 20th century in the channel of the Nogalte rambla, being moved to the facilities of the Local Cattle Market of Puerto Lumbreras.
In this way, the site located on the road of La Estación-El Esparragal concentrates the celebration of this type of fairs as the most ideal space where professionals exhibit their products, with the presence of craftsmen and merchants.
The assistants could contemplate more than 400 specimens of mares, foals, horses, donkeys and donkeys.
To this were added the exhibitions of used and new agricultural machinery coming from companies in the area.
The councilor of Agriculture, Livestock, Water and Pedanías, José María Parra, stressed that "it is very important to give visibility and prominence to the great professionals that Puerto Lumbreras has in the livestock and agricultural sector, and not only to recognize their work so necessary, but also to encourage their great potential and grow together in this sector. "
