On June 15, the municipal swimming pools of Puerto Lumbreras opened their doors one more summer.

During these first days they have been able to enjoy several shows like the championship and the exhibition of synchronized swimming in the so-called "Young Tuesdays", in which the bathroom and access to the facilities is free from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. .

This week the Young Tuesday brought us a Masterclass of Cardio Boxing in charge of the National Boxing Champion and Muay Thai World Champion this same year;

the lumbrerense Mª Carmen Romero.

This initiative has had a great reception and has become one of the most demanded activities of the summer, since it brings us a different show every Tuesday night of the month of July, extending its opening hours until 00:00 h, accessing Free of charge from 8:00 p.m.

Both the good conditioning of the facilities and the high temperatures that accompany us, have made this year exceeded all records of attendance so far, reaching the 3,662 tickets sold only during the second half of June, representing 38% more attendance than on the same days of last year, with 2,659 entries.

There are users throughout the region and neighboring populations, not only Puerto Lumbreras.

The facilities, located in the Municipal Sports Center, have a large glass, another with slides and a splash for the little ones, and open to the public every day from 12:00 to 20:00, staying open until next Sunday. September 1st.

The summer swimming courses take place during the months of July and August intensively, and are taught every day from Monday to Friday, divided into 4 fortnights for children between the ages of 4 and 16, as well as such as therapeutic swimming and aquasalud, which have also suffered an increase of 7% in this first half of July, compared to the same date last season.
