Two people have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health (drug trafficking) and crime of illegal possession of weapons
Different quantities of cocaine, hashish and marijuana, useful for indoor cultivation of cannabis sativa, a carbine, a gun and ammunition have been seized

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras and thanks to citizen collaboration, has developed the operation 'PUERTO SUGAR', which has resulted in the dismantling of an active point of sale of drugs in Puerto Lumbreras.
The operation has culminated in the arrest of two people, a man and a woman, who allegedly engaged in the cultivation of marijuana and the sale of this substance, as well as cocaine and hashish.
The operation began last July, when, thanks to citizen collaboration, the Civil Guard detected the presence of an alleged point of sale of drugs in Puerto Lumbreras.
The first steps of the investigation were oriented to verify the practice of the alleged illicit activity and, where appropriate, obtain all the necessary evidence to clarify it and detain those responsible.
The first investigations allowed civil guards to verify that different types of narcotic substances were being distributed through a house, a nearby location and in the immediate vicinity of both buildings.
Immediately and with the support of the Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras, the Benemérita established a monitoring device on the two suspects residing in the domicile that was the object of the investigation that allowed to collect numerous indications of the illegal activity.
It was also possible to verify the high number of visits that the suspects received, apparently to carry out drug transactions.
Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained and prior judicial authorization, during the last days the operation phase of the operation has been developed.
At the entrance and the registration made, half a hundred doses of cocaine, more than three kilos of marijuana in different states and several tens of grams of hashish have been seized.
In a hidden interior storage room in the house were all the necessary tools for the cultivation of cannabis sativa, such as several hundreds of planters, ventilation systems, heating, lighting and irrigation.
The record culminated in the arrest of the two suspects, a man and a woman, as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health (drug trafficking) and illegal possession of weapons.

The detainees, the seized drug, the seized effects and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction number 2 of Lorca (Murcia), who has exercised the judicial direction of the operation and has decreed the entry into prison of one of those arrested.
