The Puerto Lumbreras City Council has prepared an extensive program of activities to commemorate November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Under the title 'Love me free', this initiative includes workshops, commemorative events and different activities, many of them focused on the education sector, throughout the month of November
On Sunday, November 24, the institutional public event will take place on the occasion of this day with a solidarity march that will have as its starting point the Plaza de la Constitución (10.00 hours) and that will end at the House of the Goblins.
There will be a musical performance by the lumbrerenses artists María Andreo and Marcos Romera, the reading of the manifesto, and the audience will keep a minute of silence.
Then, at 12 noon, a Mass will be officiated for victims of gender-based violence.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, stressed the importance of celebrating days like these because "although we know that they are not the definitive solution, it is true the need to make visible a situation that more women are living than we can imagine next in our environment. "
WORKSHOPS
The program also plans to conduct different workshops in various disciplines.
This is the case of the Kundalini Yoga master class 'Wake up your inner power' on Tuesday, November 19, given by Mª José Pérez Camacho at the Women's Center at 7:00 p.m.
On November 20, Risoterapia workshop with Celestina Pérez at the Women's Center at 6:00 p.m.
There will also be a Hatha / Vinyasa Yoga master class with Ana Belén Cano in the room of the pensioner's home located in the district of La Estación-El Esparragal on November 22 at 7:00 p.m.
On the other hand, the animation workshop for reading aimed at children 'Tales for living together' will be held at the Municipal Library on November 21 and the Esparragal-La Estación Library on the 28th at 5:00 p.m.
The 'Personal Defense for Women' workshop given by the world champion in Kick Boxing and Professional Boxing, Mª Carmen Romero, will be at the Multi-purpose Rural Center of La Estación-El Esparragal at 11 am on November 23.
It will also have the participation of the Local Police Corps with an informative talk, and is aimed at women over 12 with the authorization of their tutor.
On November 28, Antonio Jesús Vidal will give the workshop "Caring for ourselves: practical proposals for the health of my back", at 6:00 p.m.

Finally, the "Basic for Happiness" coaching workshop with Pilar Gea will be at the Women's Center on Saturday, November 30 at 11.00.
EDUCATION
The program of activities has given special attention to the education sector and the adolescent group, with several activities specifically designed for it being planned.
The first will be a sensitization activity in all CEIP of Puerto Lumbreras aimed at 6th grade of Primary and taught by professionals of the CAVI of Puerto Lumbreras (from November 13 to 15).
The 'Teach me to love' conference, especially aimed at mothers, fathers, tutors and educators will take place on November 18 at the Cultural Civic Center at 7.30 pm, taught by Carmen Castillo.
The students of the IES 'Rambla de Nogalte' will be one of the protagonists with activities such as the 'Drawing competition for mural "for egalitarian relations" organized by the Women's Association of Puerto Lumbreras.
In addition, talks about 'Healthy Relationships' aimed at students of the IES, as well as activities with students of the IES 'Rambla de Nogalte' to commemorate November 25 with human bond, flash movie, reading of the manifesto, award ceremony and termination of mural with the winning drawing of the contest.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
On the same Monday, November 25, the manifesto of the Fundación Secretariado Gitano will be read and a minute of silence at the City Hall door at 12 noon.
Among other activities, from November 1 to 30, a photo exhibition will be held on the occasion of the International Day of Gender Violence, organized and provided by the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca.
On November 27, the Women's Center will host the local coordination table against gender violence at 09:00.
and the talk "equality between women and men" at 4:30 p.m.
