Around 350 head of cattle will meet during November 30 and December 1;
Saturday and Sunday, at the Equine Cattle Fair of Puerto Lumbreras, uninterrupted hours from 08:00 to 20:00 hours in the Regional Cattle Market.
The fair has a tradition of more than 80 years and is developed with a high participation of farmers from different parts of the Region of Murcia and other places of the national territory.
The event is restricted to equine cattle, so visitors can carry out the sale of horses, mares, foals, donkeys, ponies and the like.
All farmers who participate in the fair have previously submitted the corresponding health documentation for their animals.
In this edition, and as a novelty, on Saturday 30 will take place a drag contest with mule, which will be held on an oval track and with three categories: large, medium and small mule.
The fair will also feature exhibition and sale of new and used machinery, as well as horse and antique items.
The little ones will be able to ride a pony for a symbolic price, and in this way they will participate in the raffle of two double riding lessons in Cortijo Ropero among those under 16 years old.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, María Ángeles Tunisia, said that "all those people who come to the Livestock Market of Puerto Lumbreras may contemplate a high number of mares, foals, horses, donkeys, donkeys and many other copies of equine cattle To this are added the various equipment stations linked to equine equipment such as saddlebags, covers, blankets, saddles, among other pieces. There will be food and cafeteria service, and for the proper functioning of the fair there will be members of the Civil and Emergency Protection Service and Local Police agents.
