Mª Ángeles Tunisia participates in this working meeting as member of the Commission for Integration and Social Cohesion of the FEMP, the main entity that brings together all the municipalities, cities and provinces of the country.
The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, today attended the meeting of the Commission for Integration and Social Cohesion of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).
Tunisia is a member of this Committee that met today at the headquarters of the FEMP to address various topics of interest such as the project of intercultural community intervention of La Caixa Social Work or the lines of action of the Network of Municipalities for Reception of Refugees.
In addition, the Commission has been informed of the working meeting between the Ombudsman and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
This joint meeting aimed to establish a common framework for the reception and integration of refugees in Spain with the coordination of all administrations.
The main objective of the Integration and Social Cohesion Area is to share the principles of action and management models for immigration of Local Authorities.
The work carried out within the framework of this Area is aimed at generating spaces for reflection and meetings that favor the exchange of experiences that facilitate social inclusion, prevent situations of risk and promote citizen coexistence in the local environment.
