The Lumbrerense Marcos Sánchez Mateos has won the first place in the overall standings, followed by Salvador López and Antonio Ruiz Rojo, who have achieved second and third place respectively.
This morning the eighth edition of the Mountain Bike March 'Rutas de Puerto Lumbreras' was held.
Thus, more than 200 athletes have met on the esplanade of the Municipal Sports Center, where has been the departure and goal of this sport test for all mountain bike enthusiasts.
The competition, organized by the MTB Club "Cabezo la jara" in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, has counted on the modalities of long route and short route.
Participants in the short march have made a 35-kilometer journey on ramblas, paths, tracks and paths of Puerto Lumbreras, resulting in male winner Ismael Hernández and in Maribel Rodriguez female category.
On the other hand, participants in the long march have had to travel a distance of 50 kilometers to reach the goal.
The competition has been divided into categories junior, senior, master 30, masters 40 and masters 50. The top three of each of them have been awarded a trophy.
In the overall standings, the first place was for Marcos Sánchez Mateos, the second place went to Salvador López and third place was Antonio Ruiz Rojo.
On the other hand, in the classification by categories, Víctor Benítez has been leader in junior, Lorenzo López in master 50 and Antonio Gallardo in Master 60. On the other hand in female category the winners have been Ana Jiménez in master 40 and absolute, Maria Jose Jiménez in master 30 and María Rodríguez in senior category.
As it is tradition in this sport competition, after the test, all the participants have celebrated a day of coexistence with food and gifts for the attendees.
