New burial pavilions will be built at San Damián Cemetery, the Augusto Vels Municipal Park will be remodeled and a roundabout will be created on Avenida Astudillo, next to Reina Sofía Park.

The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, met this week with the Minister of Presidency, Mª Dolores Pagán, to address various issues in the area of ​​local administration and in the field of security and emergencies.

Pagán and Tunisia focused part of their meeting on the actions that make it possible to carry out the Regional Action Plan for the Dynamization of Works and Services in Puerto Lumbreras, for 111,390 euros, which comes to complement the 84,936.65 euros of 2015, Framed in the Plan of Works and Services (POS).

Among the works included in this Regional Plan is the construction of funerary pavilions for 132 niches and the urbanization of Cementerio de San Damián, for the amount of 64,179.03 euros, of which 42,789.57 are contributed by the Autonomous Community and the rest By the town hall.

Also included is the construction of a roundabout on the avenue of Astudillo, next to the Reina Sofía park, whose budget amounts to 23,840.09 euros, of which 22,648.09 are financed by the Regional Government;

And the remodeling of the Municipal Park, valued at 48,370.88 euros, with an autonomous contribution of 45,952.34 euros.

Last year, under the POS, the renovation of sidewalks and agglomerate in the street Orfeón Fernández Caballero and others, for 84,936.65 euros and with full financing by the Autonomous Community was addressed.

The Regional Action Plan for the Dynamization of Works and Services includes an investment of 6,835,676 euros to finance 66 performances in 41 municipalities in the Region of Murcia.

The Community contributes to this Plan with a total of 4,999,703 euros, one million more than in 2015, while the beneficiary municipalities make a total contribution of 1,835,972 euros.

The actions planned in the Regional Action Plan for the Dynamization of Works and Services have been presented by the municipalities themselves, and their economic distribution has been carried out using the formulas set out in the Law on General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia for 2016.
