The Minister of the Presidency, María Dolores Pagán, received this week the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, María Ángeles Tunisia, in a meeting in which they addressed various issues in matters of local administration and in the field of security and emergencies.

Pagán and Tunisia focused part of their meeting on the actions that make it possible to carry out the Regional Action Plan for the promotion of works and services in Puerto Lumbreras, for a sum of 111,390 euros, which complements the one carried out last year, under the Plan Of Works and Services (POS), for the amount of 84,936 euros.

Pagán said that "this means that 41 municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants can face a series of works that could not be addressed by themselves and that have a direct impact on the daily lives of the residents of those localities."

In the case of Puerto Lumbreras, among the works included in this regional plan is the construction of funerary pavilions for 132 niches and the urbanization of the Cementerio de San Damián, amounting to 64,179 euros, of which 42,789 are contributed by the Community and The rest by the Town Hall.

Also included is the construction of a roundabout on the avenue of Astudillo, next to the Reina Sofía park, whose budget amounts to 23,840 euros, of which 22,648 are financed by the Community;

And the remodeling of the Municipal Park, worth 48,370 euros, with an autonomous contribution of 45,952 euros.

Last year, under the POS, the renovation of sidewalks and aglomerado in the street Orfeón Fernández Caballero and others, for 84,936 euros and with full financing by the Community, was approached.

The Regional Action Plan for the revitalization of works and services includes an investment of 6,835,676 euros to finance 66 actions in 41 municipalities.

The Community contributes to this plan with a total of 4,999,703 euros, one million more than in 2015, while the beneficiary municipalities make a total contribution of 1,835,972 euros.

The actions programmed in the aforementioned plan have been presented by the municipalities themselves, and their economic distribution has been made using the formulas set out in the Law of General Budgets of the Community for 2016.

Taking into account the type of investment undertaken by each City Council, 39 works of paving, 9 public lighting, 4 sports facilities and 4 other sewage systems, 3 public parks and a further water supply, as well as other Related to municipal facilities and waste collection.
