The Cadiz group Decai will perform in concert on Saturday December 10 in the Multipurpose Rural Pavilion of La Estación-Esparragal, and entry will be free.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has designed a special program on the occasion of the arrival of the Fiestas de la Purisima in the lumbrerense hamlet of La Estación-Esparragal.
The program includes some thirty cultural, sports, religious and leisure activities from December 3 to 11.
The program will start on Saturday, December 3, starting at 3:00 p.m., with a auction of the 3rd Age at La Estación-Esparragal and a petanque tournament at the municipal park of the village of Lumbrerense.
On Sunday December 4 a flamenco festival will be held in the gardens of the Guirrete Restaurant with the performance of the group "Filiu y Cia".
In the afternoon, the popular and televised "Grand Prix" competition will be held in a bullring located on the esplanade of the weekly market of La Estación-Esparragal.
Six groups from different localities are expected to participate in this activity.
The winning team of the Grand Prix will get 300 euros and a Christmas basket.
In addition, teams that get second and third place will also be rewarded.
On Monday, December 5 at 11:00 pm the concert of the group "Aires de Veleta" at Daltons Cafeteria.
On the other hand, on Tuesday, December 6 at 10:00 a tournament of children's tennis will be played on the slopes of La Estación.
At 10.30 hours will be held the XXIII Popular Race "The Station of Puerto Lumbreras" with departure and finish in the Social Center of the 3rd Age.
The day will continue with a rociera party in the chiringuito of La Estación and a concert at 17.00 hours of the group "Essential" in Andén Cafeteria.
The big day of the holidays will be next Thursday, December 8, the day of the Purísima.
Thus, at 11:45 hours will take place the Floral Offering in the Hermitage of Esparragal, which will also collect food for Caritas Puerto Lumbreras.
At 12.00 a Mass will be celebrated in honor of the Patroness and then a procession will be held with the Esparragal crew.
On Thursday, a children's playground with children's attractions will be set up next to the La Ermita Socio-Cultural Center from 12.30 to 17.30.
In addition, starting at 5:00 pm, there will be live music with the performance of the Gema duo at the Centro Socio-Cultural La Ermita.
At 19.00 hours, the Celebration Department will deliver flour, oil, salt and firewood so that those who want to cook the traditional migas.
At night, the Ayuntamiento has organized a party dance with the Henares squad at the Socio-Cultural Center La Ermita and, at the end of the day, a fireworks display.
The program will continue on Friday, December 9 with a children's playground with attractions for children from 12.30 to 17.30 hours in the Multipurpose Pavilion of La Estación-Esparragal.
At 21.00 hours there will be an exhibition of rhythmic gymnastics by Club Helionova and at 2130 hours a meeting of teams in the Multipurpose Rural Pavilion.
The meeting of teams will be attended by the Children's Gang of Naples, Bunch of Balls of La Torrecilla, Squad of La Hoya and Squad of El Esparragal.
On Saturday 10 December at 11.00 hours will be held the eighth edition of the Ciclopaseo "El Esparragal-La Estación", in which participants will cycle through the main streets of the hamlet and gifts will be distributed among attendees.
At 11.00 hours the wine competition "Juan Asensio" will also begin and at 12.00 hours the prizes of the II Literary Contest of Children's Stories "Stories of the Esparragal" will be presented in the Multipurpose Pavilion.
At 11.30 hours will be the traditional match between singles and married at the Municipal Football Field.
At 12 noon flamenco festival at Restaurante Guirrrete with the concert of La Espartera.
At night, at 11 pm, the concert of the Cadiz group Decai will take place in the Multipurpose Pavilion.
Admission will be free.
The last public holiday will be on Sunday, December 11, starting with the procession of the Virgin at 09.30 hours from the Hermitage to La Estación with the El Esparragal crew.
At 13.30 a Mass will be celebrated in honor of the Purísima Concepción.
This day will also enable a playground next to the Pavilion Multiusos.
In the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., prizes will be awarded for the competitions of domino, brisca and auctioned.
At 1630 hours a race of ribbons will be held on horseback next to the esplanade of the Multipurpose Rural Pavilion and at 18.00 hours the collection of the Virgin will be made from the Station to the Hermitage of El Esparragal.
The program ends with monologues at 6:00 pm in Daltons Cafeteria and night of copla, starting at 19.30 hours, with the performance of Isabelita Rico, Niño de Peñaflor and Lolita Torres in the Multipurpose Pavilion.
