The Sports Association Esparragal And Orbitalia-Athletics Club Nogalte, in collaboration with the Federation of Athletics of the Region of Murcia and the Department of Sports of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, organized this morning the XXXI Regional League of Cross, REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP OF CROSS SHORT that has developed in a circuit next to the Municipal Sports Center of Puerto Lumbreras.
More than 600 athletes from all over the Region have met in this event in which, in addition, has been disputed the eleventh edition of the 'Trofeo Ciudad de Puerto Lumbreras'.
In this way, the sports day began at 09:00 am and the participating categories have been: prebenjamín, benjamín, alevín, infantile, cadet, juvenile, junior, promises, senior and veterans.
In addition, have participated non-federated popular athletes. Also, at 13:30 has been the delivery of trophies.
It should be noted that in relation to the Championship of the Region of Murcia Short Cross, in which the athletes have traveled a distance of 4,000m, there is an individual and an absolute classification by teams.
Thus, the first four athletes of each club have scored in the male case, while in women have scored the first three athletes in goal.
On the other hand, the first three men's absolute teams have the right to participate in the Spanish Championship of Field Crossed by Clubs to be held on 26 February in the form of short cross, while in the women's section will get the team classification Winner in the Regional, according to the rules of participation of the RFEA for the present season 2016/17.
