The Autonomous Community coordinates training actions directed to the Civil Protection personnel of Puerto Lumbreras in order to provide the necessary training to assist citizens more effectively in cases of emergency.
Specifically, during this week training courses are being held in the municipality for the personnel in charge of the management of the remote command and control terminal 112, which has already been installed in the dependencies of the emergency and civil protection service of the City of Puerto Lumbreras.
Following the incorporation of the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras to the emergency call service 112 - Region of Murcia, the Ministry of Presidency is providing training to staff, as well as the technological support needed to support the centers and platforms of this service for the Connection to the system 112.
It should be noted that last October the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and the Minister of Presidency, María Dolores Pagán, signed a collaboration agreement between both administrations to integrate the municipality into the emergency call service 112-Region of Murcia.
The mayor of the town has stressed that "the City has joined the service 112-Region of Murcia with the aim of ensuring a response and appropriate attention to citizens quickly and effectively."
In addition, he added that "with this new service we improve coordination and shorten response times to an emergency."
In this sense, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras already has a Remote Command and Control Center (CRMC).
This system allows all teams involved in emergency care to have real-time information on any calls from citizens, while managing instantaneous data on resource mobilization and emergency follow-up.
The operators of the Emergency Coordination Center 112-Region of Murcia introduce the data of the case in a system shared with the local organisms.
Likewise, those that are considered emergencies, received by city councils, by means of any telephone notices, radio or direct knowledge of the operatives, are introduced into the system by the operators of the remote center of the organism.
Lastly, the Mayor said that "this service produces an optimization of resources and resolve incidents immediately which contributes to improving the safety and quality of life of citizens."
