The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras through the Department of Public Safety is conducting various evacuation drills throughout the week in the Municipal Nursery Network.
Specifically, the objective of this initiative is to test the efficiency of emergency plans to create and encourage adequate response habits to follow during a real risk scenario.
In this way, the children and teachers have implemented the protocol of action planned for emergencies and have gone outside the premises.
The fire drill was carried out under the supervision of local police officers and members of Civil Protection of Puerto Lumbreras
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, who has attended the drill, explained that "this practice, framed in the Local Emergency Plan, serves to evaluate the response of day care centers to a possible incident."
In addition, Arenas added that "with these drills we intend to avoid improvisation and obtain a perfect analysis of the suitability or possible deficiencies of evacuation plans."
