Photo competition, karaoke, Rubik cube resolution workshop, tattoo workshop, candle making and artisan air fresheners or the contest of pies and desserts are some of the activities that have been carried out.
During the day the students have sold solidarity calendars whose profits will go to rebuilding a school in Nepal.
The IES Rambla de Nogalte de Puerto Lumbreras has developed a yearly program of activities and workshops so that about 700 students and 70 teachers can celebrate the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, patron of the middle schools.
Thus, students of ESO and Bachillerato have participated in more than a score of activities among which can be highlighted, for the success they have among students each year, the workshop 'knows France', the culinary contest of typical desserts of culture Anglo-Saxon, the chess competition, the workshop of resolution of the cube of Rubik or the contest of 'Pasapalabra'.
In the same way, there has been a gymnastics of mathematics and another of social sciences, as well as the literary recital 'Share a text'. In addition, this year the IES Rambla de Nogalte has organized new activities such as the workshop for the production of clocks Sun and sky vault, the word game 'taboo', online games, a non permanent tattoo workshop and a photography contest.
It should be noted that this year during the day the students have sold solidarity calendars whose benefits will be earmarked for the reconstruction of a school in Nepal, destroyed as a result of an earthquake.
In recognition of this solidarity gesture, one of the classrooms of the school in Nepal will be named 'IES Rambla de Nogalte de Puerto Lumbreras'.
As is tradition, sports competitions have an important presence in this program of activities.
Thus, matches have been played football, a contest of triples and the game of basketball 1x1.
The day has culminated with the V Tournament Director, the expected football match between teachers and high school students.
