The artist Marcos Salvador Romera will be this year the pregonero of the Celebrations in honor to the Virgin of the Rosary of Puerto Lumbreras.

The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "this election is motivated by the great connection of Marcos Salvador Romera with the festivities and, in addition, is a recognition of his artistic career." MARCOS SALVADOR ROMERA
He was director of the Pavilion of Murcia in the Universal Exhibition of Seville in 1992, and director of the ten Biennials of Plastic Arts that in the eighties and nineties were organized in Murcia.

He has collaborated in several programs on Radio Nacional de España, COPE, Cadena SER and Onda Regional de Murcia, and is a regular contributor to the daily La Opinión de Murcia, as well as, in a timely manner, in different magazines and publications.
It also has several books published as "The Picoesquina", "Saetas de Pasión" and "El Niño Versor".
In 1989 he was Pregonero of the Patron Saint of Puerto Lumbreras, in 1993, at the proposal of the Government of Spain, he was awarded the Civil Merit Medal.
In that year also was named Pregonero of the Holy Week of Puerto Lumbreras.
In 2010 was the Pregonero of the XXI International Festival of Flamenco Cante "City of the Sun" of Lorca, in 2011 was Ambassador Moro of the Festival of the Shield and Invasion of Cieza, and in the year 2013, on the occasion of the Conference Gastronomic events organized by the Aguilas Town Hall and the Casa Menéndez Restaurant, awarded the "Faba de Oro".
In 2014, he was Pregonero of the XXVII International Competition of Tunas Costa Cálida of the Spring Festivities of Murcia.
In 2016 he showed the public his exhibition "Circus" in the Column Room of the Murcia Almudí Palace.
Nowadays he spends most of his time working on what has always been his true passion: painting.
