The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Equal Opportunities, has opened the enrollment period for the courses and activities that are given, as of September, at the Women's Center.
The Councilor for Education and Equality of Opportunities, Sonia López, said that "we have launched a new program for our Women's Center, with which we intend to expand the offer of training courses as well as leisure and leisure activities with the aim of offer a greater and varied supply of alternatives ".
The program, aimed at both men and women, includes workshops and courses related to physical activity, healthy habits, language learning, new technologies and art.
Starting this month, there are some fifteen workshops, among which are taichi, yoga, pilates and relaxation.
On the other hand, intermediate English classes are taught.
Similarly, for lovers of dance, the Center offers classes of salsa, bachata, merengue, sevillanas and batuka.
Crochet courses, sewing machine, paint shop, theater workshop and personal defense courses are also available.
Sonia López said that "we have developed a varied range of activities so that each person chooses the one that best suits their tastes and needs."
Those interested in enrolling in any of these courses must go to the Women's Center from 09.00 to 14.00 hours from Monday to Friday or call the phone 968402160.
The program will be complemented in the next weeks with talks, colloquia, trips and cultural days.
Thus, next October is planned a cultural trip to Granada.
