The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and the Councilor of Festivities, Juan Rubén Burrueco, accompanied by the ladies and Queen of the Festivities 2017, have presented the program of the Festivities in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary, to be held 4 to 8 October.
The program will start Wednesday, October 4 with the celebration of the Day of the Major in San Francisco Street.
At 17.30 Carlos Luna will offer a humorous show, and then the seniors will enjoy a copla performance with Rocío Durán (winner of A Tu Vera 2011).
At 20.00 hours will be the proclamation by the artist Marcos Salvador Romera in the Parish Church.
Later, the procession of San Francisco will be celebrated and the chupinazo will be launched, which will give the starting signal to the Fiestas Patronales 2017. The evening will continue with a verbena, enlivened by the orchestra "Roma".

That same day will open the fair of noon and in the afternoon, at 19.00h will be held the Children's Festival of Riá Pitá in the Municipal Caseta.
At 22.00 hours will be the turn of the Festival of Choirs and Dances Virgin of the Rosary "The birth and the esparto".
At 11:30 pm the Youth Zone will open with the concert of the local Ultima Eco group and later, La Unión, one of the most significant groups in the history of Spanish pop rock, will offer a free concert for the audience.
The medieval market will open to the public on Friday, October 6 at 10:00 am.

At 18.00 hours, the dancers of the academy of Mª Teresa Lazareno will delight the audience with the "Under the Sea" festival.

The big day of the Fiestas will be on Saturday, October 7, the day of the Virgin of the Rosary.

At 1630 hours will take place one of the most anticipated acts of the parties, the Parade of Floats.
It will start in the Plaza de la Constitución and will tour the main streets of the municipality.
For the second consecutive year, the participating floats will be exhibited that same day from 12.00 on the esplanade of the Municipal Sports Center so that the neighbors and visitors can contemplate the work that the lumbrerenses have done for months to decorate their floats.
On Saturday night, at 10 pm, the orchestra "La Mundial" will be in the Municipal Booth.
At 11 pm, the young area will host the concert of Demarco, El Maki and María Artés "La Morena".
The program will continue on Sunday October 8 with the painting competition "Rincones de Puerto Lumbreras".
At 11.00 a traditional floral offering will be made to the Virgen del Rosario, which will start in the Plaza de la Constitución until you reach the Church.
At 12.00 hours a mass will take place in the Plaza Juan Pablo II, which will be sung and danced by the Coro y Danzas Virgen del Rosario group of Puerto Lumbreras and Peña el Caldero of San Pedro del Pinatar.

At 22.00 hours the dance association Riá Pitá will hold its flamenco festival "La Maestranza" in the Municipal Booth.
At the same time, the local group Alambrada will give a concert in the young area and, next will be the turn of Arco, previously known for being a singer and composer of the band "El Puchero del Hortelano".
The Councilor of Festivities, Juan Rubén Burrueco, emphasized that "music, one of the highlights of these festivities, goes from the pop rock of the 80s to the current indie rock, passing through ballads and flamenco. a program that includes activities for all tastes and that we hope will be liked by all citizens.
It is worth mentioning that the program includes other sports activities such as cycling "pedaling" on October 12, the XXIV Urban Mile on October 14, a popular race on October 21, a tennis tournament on October 28 and the championship endurance run series 5k / 10k on October 29th.
