The artist Emilio Pascual presents his painting exhibition "The suitcase of the castaway" in Puerto Lumbreras (11/11/2017)

The Yeclan artist Emilio Pascual inaugurated his painting exhibition "The Castaway of the Shipwrecked" last night at the Casa de los Duendes Socio-Cultural Center.

The event was attended by about fifty people, including members of the Government team.

Specifically, the exhibition is a sample made up of oil paintings on canvas with which an artistic concept based on the lived experience, on the natural, on the sensitivity of the gaze, stands out.

The author tries to express the beginning of a dialogue with painting, with color and with space.

According to the artist "the painter, before the void, before that blank space of the canvas, has no other reference than the dialogue established between him and that support on which the thought is created that tries to give meaning to the impossibility of reasoning I work without a sketch, without a project. There comes the need to concentrate, to follow step by step, to ask each work what it wants to be.Sitting before the void, before the doubt, is the most important moment, and it will be in the first decision where the whole process of creation will begin to be generated ".

Emilio J. Pascual (Yecla, 1961) has a degree in Fine Arts and a high school professor.

He has extensive experience in solo and group exhibitions.

His work has recently been exhibited at the Palacio Almudí and at the Casino de Murcia.

His work is characterized by the author's concern for creative renovation and focuses his work on painting as a generator of thought and reflection.

His artistic restlessness has led him to experiment in all possible facets of the world of plastic and image.

He has made more than forty individual exhibitions and has participated in more than eighty collective exhibitions inside and outside the national territory.

It should be noted that this activity has been developed through the Plan of Exhibition Spaces of the Region of Murcia, promoted by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, in which the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras is attached.

In this way, Puerto Lumbreras places at the disposal of the artists of the Region three public spaces with a total of 180 square meters to host traveling exhibitions.

This exhibition will be available at Casa de los Duendes until November 28.

Those interested in knowing their work can go from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition, you can also visit on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
