Coinciding with the Day of the Entrepreneur Development Institute was awarded a distinction by CLD for their assistance in the Columbus project with which companies promote exchanges with the European Union.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras is collaborating with the Instituto de Fomento Region de Murcia through the Erasmus for young entrepreneurs with the aim of improving their business management lumbrerenses a second language and increase their training in companies in other EU countries Europe.
The Columbus project is based on the coordination, support, matching and practical introduction of entrepreneurs in the municipality in other organizations of the European Union.
The main objective of this initiative is the acquisition of entrepreneurial skills in the management and development of SMEs through an experienced entrepreneur in the host country.
In addition, the program includes learning effectiveness in planning, financial management and operational development of innovative products and services and successful practices in sales and marketing.
Councillor for Employment and Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, said that "Local Development Centre continues to work in this area and increasing its collaboration with other institutions to promote business growth and enhancing competitiveness in lumbrerenses entrepreneurs."
