The regional deputy and mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has participated in the opening ceremony of the Second Conference on Victims of Terrorism University with a presentation on the new Law on Victims of Terrorism in the Region of Murcia
The deputy of the Popular Party and mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has participated this morning at the opening of the Second Conference on Victims of Terrorism University organized by UCAM.
During his speech, Sanchez said that the Victims of Terrorism Act in the Region of Murcia Regional Assembly approved earlier this year, "is an example for the rest of autonomous communities of Spain."
According to Sanchez, this Act "reflects the commitment of society Murcia with those who have suffered violence and terrorist barbarity", and additionally constitutes "a model law for other communities."
With this Act, and, according to Sanchez, the Region of Murcia is close to Madrid, Valencia, Basque Country, Aragon and Extremadura in the autonomous region that includes one of the most important demands for the large group of victims of terrorism to nationally, more than 15,000 people.
Specifically, the law equates to the group of victims of terrorism with other relevant special protection and social recognition, and introduces measures such as the reservation of quotas for public housing, the share of public jobs, which recognizes the physical damage and psychological, and coverage of expenses and study support including college.
The Second Conference on Victims of Terrorism University have also had a wreath in memory of victims of terrorism.
