The session shows all groups and associations in the city's new cultural space has been achieved with the rehabilitation and conversion of a typical middle-class housing in the mid-nineteenth century.
It is expected that over 300 people visit the area during the months of June through Guided Program 'Casa de los Duendes'
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has organized a guided tour program aimed at every part of the town to visit the new Socio Cultural Center 'House Elves. "
Specifically, throughout the month of June various groups of the municipality as housewives, old or young, among others, visit this new equipment designed to promote cultural dialogue in Puerto Lumbreras.
According to the Councillor for Culture, Isabel García, "this program of guided tours has been established with the aim that all lumbrerenses know the new cultural center will be various exhibitions, lectures and cultural programs."
The City Council, in collaboration with the Autonomous Community, has created the new Socio Cultural Center 'Casa de los Duendes' with the full rehabilitation of a typical house of the nineteenth century, and its conversion into a new public space in the municipality.
The bedrooms and living rooms of the house have become exhibition halls, conference rooms and multipurpose spaces for the promotion of culture.
The equipment has a didactic audiovisual room, a conference room, museum of graphology 'Augusto Vels', and various permanent showrooms.
The new Socio Cultural Center features more than 600 square feet on 2 levels, and contributes to cultural revitalization and historic old town.
For their conversion have been restored keeping all areas of construction peculiarities typical of the nineteenth century as the entire door with carved woodwork, the interior courtyard which has enabled a source, and has recovered part of period furniture .
