About fifteen young people under 30 enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System have started a training course on "Cleaning surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises".
The objective is to perform cleaning and maintenance of surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises by selecting the appropriate techniques, tools, products and machinery to ensure sanitation, conservation and, if necessary, maintenance.
Always under the supervision of a professional, the participants will put into practice the applicable regulations on safety and health.
The subject is taught in four theoretical modules of 150 hours and a non-work professional module of 80 hours.
The training began a few days ago and takes place at the Center for Entrepreneurs of the municipality (CIFEA) until next May 29 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
As support measures for training, unemployed workers who participate in training actions may receive financial aid for transport when the training activity takes place in a different location from the worker's home, if they have any type of disability or if they are disabled. is in situation or risk of social exclusion.
The Councilor for Employment, Angela Morillas, stressed that "initiatives like this allow to improve the employment opportunities of Lumbrerenses and continue to reduce the unemployment rate in Puerto Lumbreras, which is currently around 6%, being one of the most losses of the last years ".
