The Championship of Artistic Swimming Figure Schools of the Region of Murcia reaches its fourth edition choosing as venue for its celebration the city of Puerto Lumbreras.
A meeting that took place at the Lumbrerense Municipal Sports Center with the participation of 70 girls from the provinces of Murcia and Almeria from the Sincro Alhama Club, Lorca Swimming Club, Sincro Pulpí, Huércal-Overa Artistic Swimming and Club Sincro Nogalte de Puerto Lumbreras who, together with the Department of Sports of Puerto Lumbreras, have been commissioned to act as hostesses.
The best in each of the seven modalities have won prizes going up to podium.
Recently, the International Swimming Committee, FINA, has changed the name of Synchronized Swimming to that of Artistic Swimming, a name that is already being used in sports to refer to this discipline.
Also clarify that this sport has two parts: the technique, which consists of making a series of figures or positions, and the other, the artistic, which are choreographies, distinguishing between solos, duos, combos and teams.
Thus, the FINA regulation establishes that in the form of figures all the girls of the different clubs have to compete with a black swimsuit and a white cap, so in this test they have not worn their best clothes.
The organization wanted to thank the Federation of Swimming Region of Murcia for their collaboration in assigning the referees of artistic swimming for this meeting.
