The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will regularize the labor situation of 24 municipal workers (24/05/2018)

The Government team of the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras will regularize the labor situation of 24 municipal workers.

This was announced today by the mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, which aims to stabilize the situation of the workforce and the temporary officials of the Consistory Lumbrerense.

Tunisia stressed that "we have already held a first meeting with employees and we are working on the development of a plan to regularize their situation."

The process will have different phases.

The first of these will entail the acquisition of the condition of indefinite labor personnel not fixed by the employees.

Secondly, the City Council will carry out the appropriate procedures to obtain an offer of public employment agreed with the negotiating table, in which the unions will be represented.

The third phase contemplates the publication of the personnel selection processes according to the different categories and jobs.

The objective of this action is to improve the working conditions of municipal workers, while optimizing the resources and services provided to citizens.

The mayor stressed that "we will continue working in the coming months, along with workers and union representatives, in order to adopt the agreements that meet and guarantee their rights, as well as the adequate provision of public services to Lumbrerenses."

At present, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has 87 public employees, of which 60 are career civil servants;

24 hired labor;

and 3 interim officers.
