The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has organized an institutional act of handing over keys to five lumbrerenses entrepreneurs that will be located in the new Nursery of Cultural and Creative Companies.
The act was attended by the mayor of the town, M ª Angeles Túnez, the Councilor for Employment and Commerce, Ángela Morillas, the president of the business association Aseplu, Jenaro Pérez, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, as well as the entrepreneurs who from today can start their project in this new facility.
Among the business initiatives are activities related to audiovisual production, promotion of healthy habits, creation of web pages, art and fashion.
All offices have a security system and fingerprint access, so they can use the facilities every day at any time.
As consideration for the use of the offices, entrepreneurs must pay a monthly fee of 50 euros.
The stay in the Nursery will have an initial duration of two years, but may be extended for one more year, upon the express request of the interested party, at least two months before the end of the granted period.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, has announced that "with the aim of providing facilities to Lumbrerenses, and as an incentive measure, entrepreneurs will not have to pay the first two installments for occupying a place in the Business Incubator" .
The infrastructure has 1,500 square meters and has been designed to house business projects related to Communication, Arts and Technology.
El Vivero has thirteen work modules, an assembly hall, a business center, a cafeteria, a course room, a meeting room, a creativity room and an outdoor terrace for meetings.
The mayor explained that "the start-up of this nursery will help to promote and develop business projects that will enable more employment opportunities." The infrastructure was born as a project to help the creation of companies with the primary objective of supporting and facilitating to the entrepreneurs the start-up of their project, increasing the local development and the diversification of the economic activity in our municipality ".
The Nursery of Cultural and Creative Companies "Ceilum" has been co-financed by 80% by the European Fund for Regional Development FEDER, within the operational program 2007/2013 for the Region of Murcia, and the investment exceeds 700,000 euros.
