In the early morning of last Saturday, the Local Police of Puerto Lumbreras surprised an individual of Romanian nationality stealing in a junkyard from the Lumbrerense de El Descanso deputation.
The agents carried out a preventive patrol of rural surveillance when they observed a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of the scrapping.
A little later, they contemplated the individual of the vehicle jumping a fence and carrying pieces stolen from the scrapping, so they proceeded to arrest him.
After their identification, the agents verified that it was an individual with numerous antecedents and with residence in the Granada town of Baza.
It should be noted that the intervention also involved members of the Civil Guard, who were in charge of securing the area before a possible escape, made the transfer and proceeded to the judicial disposition of the detainee.
