The neighborhood of San Juan de Puerto Lumbreras celebrates this weekend the festivities in honor of its patron.
The neighborhood association Grupo San Juan, in collaboration with the City Council, recovers this traditional celebration that includes musical performances, religious acts and children's entertainment.
The festive day began yesterday with the proclamation in charge of local authorities, the opening of the chiringuito and the concert of the flamenco group "Los Hippytanos", which was attended by many citizens and members of the government team.
Today, Saturday, June 23, the program continues at 6.30 pm with Mass in honor of San Juan, by the parish priest of the town, Serafín Campoy.
Next, there will be children's activities, where children can enjoy inflatable castles, popular games and children's entertainment.
At night, attendees will be delighted with the music of the Talisman Duo and the performance of the local group "Último Eco".
The Councilman of Celebrations, Juan Rubén Burrueco, has encouraged Lumbrerenses to "continue participating in this type of activities and keep the traditions alive".
Burrueco recalled that "this initiative is part of the Nogalte Cultural program, with which the city council intends to offer an alternative leisure and free time during the summer months."
Finally, tomorrow is scheduled a "Bike-Lunch" that will end the festivities of the neighborhood of San Juan 2018.
