Those interested in knowing their work can do so until October 4 in Puerto Lumbreras
The Social-Cultural Center Casa de los Duendes of Puerto Lumbreras welcomes this week the temporary exhibition "Shared beats" by the artist Alfredo Guillamón.
Numerous residents of the town attended the inauguration, which was also attended by the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Mª Victoria Jerez.
Specifically, the exhibition has a dozen sculptural pieces of different weights, volumes, spaces and forms.
The wood is the protagonist of this sample of sculptures in which some terracottas are also exhibited and which revolves around the figure of the heart and the connection of its cavities.
It is in sculpture and in the artistic installation that the author finds his natural means of expression.
As he explains, "my work revolves around the relationship of the human being with his own nature, I am interested in the moment of awareness of what happens inside us, through that clean look that allows us to direct and unique experience with reality ".
Therefore, aspects such as subtlety, transience, tension, balance or equanimity stimulate and articulate their artistic practice.
In addition to producing his own artistic work, Alfredo Guillamón designs and directs plastic arts workshops focused on creative processes in art and collective creative experiences.
The author of "Shared Heartbeats" was born in Murcia in 1975. He studied sculpture and wood carving at the School of Art in Zamora and Murcia, and is currently studying Fine Arts in Murcia.
In 2015 he participated in the course "Experimentation as a pedagogical tool" of the Jorge Oteiza Museum Foundation (Navarra) and in 2016 he moved to Manchester to discover new spaces for artistic creation.
He currently resides in the huerta of Murcia, where he has one of his studies.
Recent works include the individual exhibition "Equilibrios" at the Fundación Segundo and Santiago Montes (Valladolid) or the exhibition "Negou Gnax", a sample of the 1st Integrated Sculpture Workshop at the Artillery Barracks of Murcia.
Those interested in knowing their work can do so until October 4 from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In addition, you can also visit on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This activity has been developed through the Plan of Exhibition Spaces of the Region of Murcia, in which the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras is attached.
