LEFT UNIDA-VERDES of Puerto Lumbreras denounces how the Ministry of Education has taken the decision to abolish 2 school transport routes of the IES Rambla de Nogalte, leaving a significant number of students without this service, in a municipality where many of the parents of these students work in the primary sector (agriculture) and their work schedules are not compatible with the accompaniment to the Educational Center.
Previously in past courses route C was suppressed, so again the Ministry is fattened against the students of Puerto Lumbreras.
In addition there is no alternative public transport, so this measure will cause the percentage of schooling to fall and school absenteeism to increase.
For Víctor Romera this decision is: "an arbitrary and unjustified measure, taken from the back to the Educational Community and that harms the academic future of many students of the municipality, especially those who live further away from the urban area, and who we all know that they do not have in many cases and for different reasons other means of transport to go to the Institute to study. "
Víctor Romera also considers: "It is still curious how a few days ago the first concerted school of the municipality was inaugurated, which will receive funding from the aforementioned Ministry, money that comes from the pocket of all the citizens / os, through the concert of educational places and that same Council punish our municipality with the suppression of 2 school transport routes of our Institute, on which depend a very important number of students of our town, and finally transfer to The Counselor asked the following question: How do we explain this to the parents of the students who are left without school transport the next academic year? The answer is simple, it does not have a logical explanation.
