A thousand students start the new school year at the Rambla de Nogalte Secondary School in Puerto Lumbreras.
A figure that increases with respect to the previous year thanks to the 668 students in ESO (of which 190 begin in the first year), the 153 students in Baccalaureate, and the vocational training students that reaches the approximate number of 220 people.
The mayoress of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, and the director of the IES Rambla de Nogalte, Ramón Ruiz, were present at the opening ceremony of the course and welcomed the students who started compulsory secondary education for the first time.
As a main novelty, it is necessary to highlight the new Higher Level Training Cycle 'Physical Conditioning' offered for the first time in the Lumbrerense center, in addition to the bilingual modality implemented from first to fourth of ESO.
Remember that the center has the modalities of Baccalaureate in Sciences as well as Humanities and Social Sciences, to which the different Training Cycles of Middle Grade in Administrative Management, Driving Physical Sports Activities in the Natural Environment, as well as Grade Higher in Administration and Finance, Physical Conditioning, or Basic Vocational Training in Administrative Services or Electricity and Electronics.
