Don Alejandro Cases Ramón has taken office as parish priest of the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Church of Puerto Lumbreras.
The official act of appointment was chaired by the Episcopal Vicar of the Diocese of Cartagena, Francisco Fructuoso Andrés, and the mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez.
Hundreds of faithful came to the Church to clothe and welcome the new parish priest at the beginning of his pastoral ministry in Puerto Lumbreras.
At the end of the Eucharist, the parishioners exchanged a few words with the parish priest, who showed himself available to all Lumbrerenses.
Alejandro Cases Ramón, born in Formentera del Segura (Alicante) in 1982, is the son of Josefina and José Antonio, the second of the three children that make up his family.
He began his formation in the Diocesan Seminary of Orihuela in 1996, carrying out the studies of BUP and COU and the two philosophy courses that initiate the ecclesiastical studies.
In the year 2000 he completes them in the diocesan seminary San Fulgencio de Murcia, obtaining the title of Bachelor in Theology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca.
Cases was ordained a priest in the year 2006 in the cathedral of Murcia by the then bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, the Ilmo.

He was sent as coadjutor of the parish of San Mateo de Lorca and parish priest in his last seven months in the City of the Sun of the parish of Christ the King.
In 2009 he was sent as parish priest of Siscar and Matanza de Santomera.
During that course he obtained a double degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
In 2010 he was sent as parish priest of the church of San Bartolomé de Librilla where he has exercised his ministry until the present year 2018, in which he has received his appointment as parish priest of Our Lady of the Rosary of Puerto Lumbreras.
