The Municipal Pavilion of the Festivities of Puerto Lumbreras 2018 hosted the Festival of Choirs and Dances 'Virgen de Rosario' as one of the first performances to be developed within the broad program of activities planned by the City of Puerto Lumbreras.
Thus, hundreds of Lumbrerenses were able to attend this event that this year was inspired by 'El bautizo de Juanico'.
Each year the Lumbrerense group performs the representation of a Puerto Lumbreras manners theme such as the almond harvest, the slaughter, the laundry or 'El parto y el esparto', the title chosen last year.
Thus, "this new edition has continued with the history of the previous year through scenes from everyday life before", as pointed out by the president of the group, Joaquín Esteban.
The festival began at 10 pm, after a festive day that also hosted the opening of the Noon Fair on Avenida Pedro García Rubio, the Day of the Mayor with 'Copla y Humor' at the Municipal House, and the Triduum in honor of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary in the Parochial Church with the celebration besides the Holy Mass.
The day of Friday is scheduled to open the Medieval Market at 10.00 am in its usual location (Parque San Rafael), free visits to the heritage complex Medina Nogalte from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and the performance with free entry of Daviles de Novelda at the Rociera Mediodía Fair.
