The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has applied to the Regional Employment and Training Service for the grant of the Mixed Employment-Training program for local entities of the Region of Murcia "Medina Nogalte II".
With this initiative, the main work to be undertaken is located on the slopes of Nogalte Castle, as well as in the surrounding garden areas.
The future improvement works would consist of the recovery of native vegetation and regeneration of green spaces in the vicinity of the Nogalte Castle, having as main objective to complement the enhancement of the Lumbrerense monument and its surroundings.
"Maintenance and regeneration would also be carried out in the different parks and green areas of the municipality," points out the mayor of the municipality of Mª Ángeles Túnez, such as the Augusto Vels park or the Reina Sofía park, "all with a budget requested that amounts to 290,620.62 euros ".
The PMEF 'Medina Nogalte II' would have a duration of 12 months and 18 student-workers would be hired, who would end up obtaining the Professional Certificate of Auxiliary Activities in Nurseries, Gardens and Garden Centers.
