This morning a march against breast cancer was held, organized by the Lumbrerense local board of the Spanish Association Against Breast Cancer (AECC) in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
The march began at 11.30 am from the Plaza de la Constitución and continued through the main streets of the town, with an itinerary accessible to people of all ages, ending in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Previously, a concentration was organized in the Plaza de la Constitución with a manifesto reading, musical performance by María Andreo and chocolate for the audience.
The day counted with an informative stand and sale of articles with the purpose of raising funds for the association.
In order to give more visibility to the fight against breast cancer, banners and pink ribbons have been installed in different public buildings in the municipality, such as the Town Hall, the Women's Center or the Municipal Library.
In addition, the main source of the municipality, located in the center of the urban center, has been dyed pink, as a symbolic gesture of support to the women who fight to fight this disease.
