The work to improve the sanitation network on El Palmar Street is progressing at a good pace.
The mayor of the town, M ª Angeles Túnez, and the councilor of Works, Eliseo Sánchez, have gone this morning to the area to check the status of the proceedings.
The works consist of the demolition and movement of land necessary for the execution of a sanitary sewer with a length of 405 linear meters.
In this way, we have proceeded to place a plumbing and sanitation pipe of 630 mm in diameter, as well as wells and scuppers.
In addition, six new residential connections will be installed that will serve the homes on Calle El Palmar.
Once all the existing facilities have been replaced, work will be done to replace the asphalt pavement in an estimated area of 2,500 square meters.
It is a project launched by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, through the General Directorate of Water, in collaboration with the City of Puerto Lumbreras.
Councilman Works, Eliseo Sanchez, stressed that "these actions aim to optimize the service provided by the sanitation network to residents who reside in that area."
The actions to improve the sanitation network represent an overall investment of 195,158.29 euros within a three-month execution period.
