The Lumbrerense cemetery of San Damián has received during the last days a great influx of people on the occasion of the celebration of All Saints' Day.

A key date in the calendar in which all Lumbrerenses, some arrived from other locations, have wanted to honor their deceased with the celebration of this Christian solemnity that takes place every year on November 1.

It is one of the highest-ranking liturgical celebrations within the Catholic Church and as such, today will be the celebration of Holy Mass at 5:00 pm in the cemetery.

In the same way, from different councils of the Municipal Consistory, a special device has been put in place to adapt the public space and meet the needs of this special day.

Thus, the Department of Public Spaces has made during the last week improvement and conditioning work, intensifying the gardening, cleaning, painting and lighting work in the days leading up to this celebration.

On the other hand, to facilitate the flow of traffic the City Council has arranged a special bus service during today to facilitate the movement of citizens to the cemetery from 09.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00, with stops in Almeria Avenue, Murcia Region Avenue, Limoneros Street, the Hermitage and The Station.

Similarly, the Department of Public Safety has reinforced the security with the presence of a greater number of Local Police officers to control the parking and regulate traffic both in the accesses and in the exit of vehicles in the cemetery, intensifying in addition from the Department of Municipal Services cleaning and garbage collection service for the maintenance of facilities in good condition.

Finally, stresses that once again the Department of Commerce has launched the campaign to sell flowers in the area outside the cemetery on 30 and October 31 from 09.00 to 18.00, and November 1 09.00 to 14.00 hours, with the collaboration of different local florists.
