The socio-cultural space Casa de los Duendes of Puerto Lumbreras hosted on November 30 the presentation of the book 'Aitana and Willy: adventure in Africa'.
A work of autobiographical character of Mario Montoro published by the publisher Tempore that reflects, as the author points out, "about the current evil of mobiles and those other aparatejos", proposing its antidote through youth reading.
For this, this Granada recreates experiences lived through "almost real" characters inspired by his daughter, his pet and the rest of the people who accompany her in their daily environment.
In a provocative way he throws the key question: "How long have you been living an adventure?".
And so, between real events and characters that "almost also" runs this novel that has been illustrated by the Madrid Pablo Villa, who makes an important and enriching contribution to the work.
Although in a very different line to his first work, we could say that the genesis of this literary "adventure" began on the 15,000-kilometer trip that Montoro took on a motorbike to meet face to face with a tree in the African country.
That's where his book 'A trompicones por África' came from, self-publishing 500 books thanks to the sponsorship of his partner.
In two months they ran out of stock, also receiving the call of Tempore, editor from Barcelona commissioned since then in the reissue of the publication to reach its fourth edition, with over 4,000 books sold today.
Seven years have passed since then, a trajectory that, as Montoro affirms, has helped him to learn a lot on the way to building this "book without age".
In addition, Montoro is closely linked to the collection 'No Collar or owner' that he himself promotes with the aim of giving many others the opportunity to tell the story of their particular way of traveling.
