is the campaign that has just started the Department of Education of Puerto Lumbreras. An initiative that under the motto 'Do not throw gum to the ground;
utilízame 'consists of the installation of wastebaskets in parks and neighborhoods of the different school centers of the municipality to deposit used gum.
The objective of this measure is to contribute to the maintenance of the cleanliness of the city and to make citizens aware of the need for collaboration as well as to take responsibility for their own waste.
"The problem with these elements in the public road due to its difficult collection has raised the need to install these bins, as well as start a campaign so that each citizen becomes aware that the maintenance of our public spaces in something of all," says the mayor Sonia López.
The company Nemainmedios has proceeded to the installation of this new street furniture in the vicinity of the most frequented spaces by the youth collective.
In this way, the initiative is added to others already underway such as the annual campaign to raise awareness about the collection of pet droppings on public roads 'I am a dog, do not make me look like a pig'.
