The Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, is running refurbishment works in the Sacred Heart School of Puerto Lumbreras.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez and the Councilor for Education, Sonia López, visited the state of the works.
In particular, fencing and shading actions are being developed in the Infant Education playground.
The works are carried out on part of the perimeter wall of the center with the placement of a simple torsion fence anchored to the existing wall.
To create shaded areas, three rectangular canvases anchored to the façade will be placed.
The mayor stressed that "with these actions will improve the educational facilities and significantly expand the shadow areas so that students and teachers can protect themselves from rain and high temperatures."
The total budget of this work amounts to 17,623, 57 euros and an execution period is estimated for the works of 20 days.
Our intention is to improve the infrastructures to continue promoting the educational quality in the municipality.
Tunisia has indicated that "these are works that will improve the working conditions of students and teachers, which will directly affect an improvement in the education and training of our young people".
