The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has just inaugurated the exhibition 'Dioramas' by the Totana master Francisco Carrillo in the sociocultural space Casa de los Duendes.
A work of six pieces in which different Christmas scenes are represented as the 'Annunciation to Mary', 'Dream of Joseph', 'Visitation to Saint Elizabeth', 'The Nativity', 'The return to Nazareth' and 'Rest in the escape'.
Each of the dioramas, with an approximate production time of two months, has a measurement of 1.20 x 0.90 x 1.20 centimeters, being spaces inhabited by figures of the Madrid-born figurehead from La Castellana, José Luis Mayo Lebrija.
Its author, dedicated 30 years to this work, has highlighted the effect of lighting achieved in each of the dioramas, "for example, the Nativity symbolizes the dawn of a new era, or Egypt is under the red sky and earth warm. "
The exhibition 'Dioramas' can be visited until 11 January at the Casa de los Duendes from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition, Lumbrerenses will have the opportunity to visit in this space a Nativity scene made with recycled materials, mainly corks, created by Nadine Texier Dussart.
