The Handball Federation of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Handball Club of Puerto Lumbreras, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras and the regional government, has organized the first Mediterranean Hispania Cup in the municipality of Lumbrerense.
The tournament, which took place on December 28 and 29, brought together 14 teams from the communities of Andalusia and Valencia.
The sporting event was held in the male and female category in the Municipal Sports Center.
The championship was divided into two phases, winning the team BM Elche 2 in the men's category and Judesa Molina in the women's category.
The Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, stressed "the good reception that has had this event in the municipality" and stressed that "Puerto Lumbreras is already a benchmark in the celebration of competitions in different sports at the national level and international as the recent departure of the Tour of Spain or the Enduro World Championship.
