The regional government will invest 239,986 euros in the refurbishment and remodeling of the road from the cemetery of Puerto Lumbreras to the rambla of Nogalte.
This allocation, collected in the regional budgets for 2019, will significantly improve the state of the firm.
In particular, the actions will focus on the reinforcement and paving of the road surface with asphalt rolling, as well as the specific widening of the road to reach five meters.
In the same way, it will proceed to improve the condition of the ditches in order to favor and channel the evacuation of runoff water.
All this will be done in an estimated area of 10,000 square meters, from the RM-D16 road towards the Nogalte rambla of Puerto Lumbreras.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, has indicated that "the objective of this action is to facilitate access to businesses and farms, as well as to promote communications in rural areas."
It should be noted that, a few months ago, the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras requested the Autonomous Community, through the Municipal Plenary and at the proposal of the Government team, the settlement of this road.
For its part, Tunisia thanked that "the regional government take into account the needs of Lumbrerenses and allow rural areas are equipped with the best infrastructure for more security and adequate access to farms."
