The Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Puerto Lumbreras will present a varied tasting of local products at the stand of the Murcia Region of the International Tourism Fair, which will be held from 23 to 27 January in Madrid.
During these days, visitors and exhibitors will be able to taste typical products of the area such as cheese, oil, beer or bread, among others.
The tasting will be carried out in collaboration with 'El Pipas' Cheese Factory, Almazara 'San Diego', 'Nuestra Señora del Rosario' Bakery and 'El Cantero' Craft Beer.
"People from different parts of the country and from outside Spain will have the opportunity to taste our cuisine and also know the tourist resources of the area", explained the Councilor for Tourism, Mª Victoria Jerez.
In addition to offering a sample of gastronomic products, Puerto Lumbreras will be presented at FITUR as the only municipality in the Region with 'Starlight Star Park'.
The Cabezo de la Jara Astronomical Observatory has become Star Park and Starlight destination for enjoying excellent qualities to contemplate the sky.
The qualification 'Starlight' accredits the suitability of the places for the observation of the stars in optimal conditions, besides representing an example of protection and conservation.
