The Autonomous Community will develop works of adaptation and improvement in the space enabled for the completion of the weekly market on Fridays with the purpose of revitalizing and invigorating the non-sedentary sale trade.
Specifically, it is planned to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility to the weekly market, as well as providing drinking water.
For this purpose, the execution of a drinking water supply and evacuation network is envisaged in order to provide supply to the merchandise exhibition stands, being necessary for the realization of interconnections to existing networks, execution of manholes and laying of networks, including the demolition and replacement of affected services.
On the other hand, the works include the execution of two fords on sidewalks with the aim of improving accessibility in the area of ​​the street market, including the provision of railings and handrails in the area located next to the toilets and in the upper part of the market .
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez, stressed that "these actions will contribute to the improvement of the conditions of this market, which has many years of history and a hundred positions inside".
"The benefits of these works will affect both merchants and citizens who make their purchases every week in the market," said M ª Angeles Tunisia.
The execution of the works has a deadline of three months and a budget of 25,500 euros, under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification, under the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and the Environment.
