The improvement project includes the creation of a bio-healthy circuit and new shadow areas
The conditioning works will be carried out applying bioclimatic and bio-construction criteria
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Integral Association for Development Campoder, will carry out refurbishment works in the public park of La Mujer Trabajadora, located on the road that gives access to the Cabezo de la Jara natural area.
Specifically, the refurbishment project includes improvements in accessibility, repair of damages, installation of children's games, signage, creation of a new area of biosaludables games and placement of a pergola to create more shaded areas.
"The aim of the biosaludable circuit is to offer a public welfare and health service for adults, promote the quality of life, encourage places of meeting and fun for the elderly," said the mayor.
In this sense, Mª Ángeles Túnez pointed out that "the residents of the area who want to perform outdoor maintenance gymnastics exercises will no longer have to travel to other parks located outside their surroundings." With the installation of this circuit, Puerto Lumbreras It has four bio-healthy parks. "
The works also include the creation of a parking for bicycles and gardening with the aim of beautifying the environment and increase the green areas.
In the same way, in the drafting of the project, the City Council has planned the placement of a monument in honor of the working woman, which will be manufactured with bioconstructive material.
One of the most outstanding novelties of this park will be the installation of a solar charger for mobile phones.
Citizens can recharge their mobile device or tablet for free from this autonomous device, which will have a 30w solar panel and a 24-hour autonomy for the recharge of four devices.
The mayor of the town, Mª Ángeles Túnez explained that "with this initiative, a pioneer in the Region of Murcia, we intend to adapt to technological changes and make it easier for citizens to recharge their mobile terminals when they run out of battery in public spaces" .
Tunisia remarked that "this recharging point will be an avant-garde element of urban furniture that will contribute to the revitalization of the park as a meeting place." With this installation we propose extending the concept of Smart City through a simple, practical and ecological element " .
The project for the conditioning of the working women's public park is defined outside the conventional construction systems that produce a high environmental cost, since bioclimatic and bio-construction criteria will be applied.
For this, wood from sustainable forest management, bioconcrete, paints with low or no toxicity, sand materials and natural stone will be used.
It should be noted that the budget for execution by contract is 49,063 euros, subsidized by the Campoder Association.
