The annual sporting event of Cross Escolar Local today has gathered more than 250 boys and girls on the esplanade of the Municipal Sports Center.
Four races have been held in the juvenile, youngest and children category.
The competition started with the youngest female race with a distance of 800 meters, which gave way to the male benjamines with a distance of 1,250 meters.
As of 11.20 it was the turn of female alevín (1,250 meters), male alevin, infantile female and infantile male (2,000 meters).
The weather, although with some gust of wind, accompanied the young athletes who could enjoy a pleasant morning of sports.
The sports day, framed within the School Sports Program, has been organized by the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, in collaboration with the educational centers of the municipality.
"It is an initiative that encourages sports and values ​​as important as companionship, the children spend a day of coexistence with students from other centers in the town, as well as practicing healthy habits", concluded Sports Councilor Juan Rubén Burrueco.
