This morning the general director of Sports, Alonso Gómez, the president of the Federation of Cycling, Sergio Martinez, the director of the test, Manuel García, the councilors of Sports of Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca, Juan Rubén Burrueco and Juan Miguel Bayonas, and the secretary of the Club Ciclista Juan Zurano, Diego Carrasco, presented the 2nd International Cycling Tour to the Guadalentín Valley.
The sports event will be held on 9 and 10 February in elite and sub23 categories.
The competition will start in Puerto Lumbreras on Saturday, February 9 at 11.00 a.m. from the avenue of the Murcia Region.
The second edition of the International Cycling Tour Guadalentín Valley will have the participation of more than 130 runners of 18 teams of first international level in a tour prepared by the organization with very varied terrains.
The cyclists will travel 120 kilometers in the first stage in Puerto Lumbreras, which will include the mountain prize in the Cañada de Alba.
The second stage, which will begin in the Fortress of the Sun of Lorca, will be developed in a 146-kilometer route ending at Torre del Espolón.
The Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, stressed that "the Guadalentín Valley is the perfect setting to host a sporting event of this kind that will bring together many fans of the cycling world." Again, this second edition will be a first level sports show that will keep Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca on the national sports map. "
The Councilor for Sports of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, recalled that "the intention is to strengthen this cycling event that began last year and that so much acceptance and success among cycling enthusiasts."
Bayonas has indicated that "we are very proud to be able to contribute from the City Councils of Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca our bit in the organization of this event, which I am sure will become a regional and national reference in the world of cycling."

It should be noted that this is a test of the Spanish cycling calendar organized by Club Ciclista Juan Zurano, in collaboration with the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) and the Federation of Cycling of the Region of Murcia (FCRM).
To conclude, Burrueco has invited citizens from nearby towns to visit Puerto Lumbreras and stressed that "the attendees will enjoy a high level competition, at the same time they can know our heritage, culture and cuisine."
