Local Police Agents and members of the Civil Protection and Emergencies service of Puerto Lumbreras have moved today to public school Juan Antonio Lopez Alcaraz to publicize their work.
In this way, more than 200 students, between 3 and 5 years old, have been able to learn about the professional activity carried out by the Local Police and Civil Protection.
In addition to this, the children have received training and behavioral guidelines in road safety, as well as basic notions about the number of emergencies 112.
To make the day more enjoyable, the activity has had several police vehicles, including a patrol car, cramped van, motorcycle with large displacement, as well as a vehicle of first intervention of Civil Protection, equipped with its corresponding Emergency kit, all of them under the direction of their professionals.
The mayor of the town, M ª Angeles Túnez, stressed that "minors should be aware of the police work and the work performed by the Civil Protection service."
Tunisia added that "children can feel safe in the presence of agents and know that both Local Police and Civil Protection will provide them with the help they need in any situation."
Mª Ángeles Tunisia has valued the day as "very positive" and stressed that "what has most caught the attention of the little ones has been being able to get on official vehicles, priority lights and sirens".
It should be noted that the visit has been organized by the Department of Public Safety and the Department of Education, in collaboration with the educational center, with the aim that the students know firsthand the functions of Local Police and Civil Protection and the role that they play in our society.
